Dr. Deepan Chandru Kamaraj

Dr. Deepan Chandru Kamaraj is the Director of Analytics & Informatics at UPMC Enterprises, the innovation and commercialization division of UPMC, where he works at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and venture capital. Deepan was trained as a physician in India, furthered his expertise at the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, obtaining an MS and a Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Science. His research focused on the evaluation of robotic assistive mobility devices, emphasizing usability, effective translation, and commercialization of novel technology for practical clinical applications.

He co-founded Lemon Life Technologies, a startup that designed wearable monitoring devices for wheelchair users. During his tenure at UPMC Enterprises he has built multiple products leveraging Real World Data and currently leads initiatives at the nexus of analytics, informatics, and healthcare innovation.
